Bundesliga Transfer Rumors: Rafinha To Sign For Bayern
The Brazilian right back made the switch to Serie A just last summer in a €9 million transfer from Schalke to Genoa. Rafinha favors a move back to Germany, and it does appear that Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is willing to let him go back at a reduced rate. According to the report, Bayern are currently offering €5 million and Genoa are wanting €7 million. It is expected that a deal will be reached sometime next week.
The addition of Rafinha would mean that Philipp Lahm would be moving to left back from his preferred right back position. Lahm has played their previously and will likely make the move without a complaint.
Bayern’s previous fullback target was Benfica left back Fabio Coentrao. Bayern, however, felt that his quoted €30 million price tag was far too hefty.
