The scoreboard has been close in every game thus far between the Nashville Predators and Vancouver Canucks, but if you've watched any of the games, you know that the Canucks have seemed just a step faster and a step stronger than their opponent throughout the Western Conference Semifinals.
Predators Vs. Canucks, Game 5: Vancouver Can Close Out Pesky Nashville, Advance To Conference Finals
On Saturday night, the Canucks return home for Game 5, and they can put the Preds away for good with a victory. It’s going to take an impeccable effort for Nashville to stay alive, as proven by the first four games of the series. Vancouver is simply a better team, and frankly, the Predators haven’t been the same bunch that got them this far in the postseason in the first place.
The big key is stopping Ryan Kesler. After putting up zero goals in the first round, he has three in the series, including two game-winners. The Sedin twins have been invisible all playoffs long, and there are no signs yet that they're going to kick it into gear. Kesler has carried them all series, and if Nashville can shut him down, it greatly improves their chances at winning.
