Morneau will have his left wrist immobilized for 10 days, but GM Bill Smith says it’s not likely that an extended stay on DL is needed.Morneau last played on June 9. He was playing with pain in a pinched nerve in his neck, but later he suffered a wrist injury that eventually required an MRI (which came back clean) and a cortisone shot. After a few days, though, the Twins decided they could use a roster spot, and that Morneau’s barking wrist can use a rest.
