Adam Lind Returns To Blue Jays From DL
But as of Saturday, Lind is back, nearly a month after he last played a Major League game. He went 6-for-10 over a very brief minor league rehab stint, and returns to an .858 OPS that still ranks second-best on the team, between Jose Bautista and Yunel Escobar.
Lind will see his time split between first base and DH. To make room for him on the roster, the Jays optioned Eric Thames back to AAA. Thames hit .286 in his first cup of coffee and held his own, but he was never going to get an extended opportunity with Lind dealing with only a minor injury. Thames' time will have to come later.
