Voting for Major League Soccer's All-Star Game has opened with fans being invited to cast their ballot online or via text message. Fans can also vote on Twitter from June 17-20. Each of the 18 MLS teams had six players nominated by a group of 30 media members. The winners of the fan ballot will face Manchester United on July 27 at Red Bull Arena and be led by Red Bulls coach Hans Backe.

Fans must pick one goalkeeper and 10 outfield players. Once voting for the starting 11 ends on July 5, a player vote will determine the remainder of the 32-player roster.
