Vladimir Guerrero Returns To Orioles From DL Stint

Guerrero’s minor league rehab assignment lasted all of one game with double-A Bowie. In 2009, he played two games with A-ball Rancho Cucamonga. In 2003, he played three games with A-ball Brevard County. Three rehab stints, and Guerrero has still never played a single game in triple-A in his life. He went straight from double-A to the majors with the Expos, and still the streak of avoidance lives on.

You know, because Guerrero was playing so well before he had a broken right hand.

Because Guerrero hasn’t played since the 10th, placing him on the DL would knock him out of the lineup for just another 10 days. Seems like the obvious move, doesn’t it?
