Nolan Ryan Released From Hospital
Ryan was expected to remain in the hospital for a few days for tests, and it looks like the tests came up clean. According to MLB.com, Ryan was released today.
BREAKING: Rangers CEO and President Nolan Ryan was released from the hospital this morning.I think a better opening to that tweet would be “FIXING:”, but that’s just the literalist in me.
Ryan is one of the most famous pitchers in Major League history, holding the all-time strikeout record and throwing a ridiculous total seven no-hitters. He also holds the league record for annoying Rickey Henderson, as Ryan’s 7th no-hitter came on the same day that Henderson broke the all-time stolen base record, and Henderson was also Ryan’s 5,000th strikeout victim.
