NASCAR 2011: A Mid-Season Review

While the official halfway point of the 2011 season passed two races ago at Kentucky Speedway, this off-week provides a nice break in the NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Teams have been busy making the necessary changes to race for a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, while drivers are making the most of their time away from the track.

This week we will be taking a look back at some of the highlights, lowlights and thrilling finishes of the first half of the 2011 season. We will also be looking ahead to the Race for the Chase and the final 10-race Chase itself.

If the first half of the season is any indication, there is no telling what the final 16 races has in store. So, take this off-week to enjoy our review of the 2011 season thus far and our look ahead to the championship battle that lay ahead.
