Columbus Crew Vs. New England Revolution: Crew Come Back To Win 3-1

The Columbus Crew were down, but certainly not out. So they gave up an early goal to the New England Revolution. It's the Revolution! There's a reason they're only two points from the bottom. The Crew gave their fans plenty of reason to smile, scoring three unanswered goals to take down the Revs at home, 3-1, at move to the top of the Eastern Conference, one point clear of Philadelphia.

It was Benny Feilhaber who put the Revs on top. He initiated the play with a great pass slid into Pat Phelan, who held off a defender before leaving it was Feilhaber. The midfielder came running and and struck the ball well, leaving goalkeeper Will Hesmer helpless as New England went on top, 1-0.

The Revolution's lead held until the 54th minute when Kevin Alston put one in his own goal. A retreating Alston accidentally chipped the ball right over Matt Reis and in to level the match. Julius James put the Crew in front in the 75th minute when he skied to head home a corner kick then Emilio Renteria put the match on ice when he was unmarked in the middle and able to easy finish a cross.
