Arsenal kick off the match in their red shirts and awful new crest, immediately punting the ball downfield for Theo Walcott to foul Luis Enrique. Liverpool are wearing their rather classy new black kits and are immediately on the attack, forcing Emmanuel Frimpong into a dangerous two-footed lunge which wins the ball but also cleans out Daniel Agger in the process. If that wasn't the second minute, that's a booking for sure.
Arsenal Vs. Liverpool: Match Underway
Charlie Adam takes the free kick, but his delivery is laughably poor and sails off into the Emirates afternoon. Arsenal build and somewhat fortunately win a corner in the process. There's not been too much in the way of quality from either side so far, but there's plenty of match left for something interesting to happen here. Arsenal are edging things right now, but are hardly convincing - as evidenced by Andrei Arshavin volleying towards the corner flag rather than the goal when he had time to control and shoot instead. Silly.
