Well that's a super, super goal from Manchester United to open the scoring. Danny Welbeck apparently took offence to my description of him as 'not Chicharito', scoring a superbly well taken header to give the hosts a 1-0 lead over Tottenham Hotspur. Tom Cleverley got things going with a vicious cross whipped into the box, whereupon Younes Kaboul plodded about aimlessly, giving Welbeck the opportunity to nip forward and send a glancing ball past Brad Friedel and into the bottom corner. That was inch-perfect from the 20-year-old.
Manchester United Vs. Tottenham Hotspur: Danny Welbeck Gives Hosts 1-0 Lead
Spurs really haven’t done anything that might indicate that this is not game over - their potshots from range arent going to beat David de Gea, even with the game slightly more open than it was in the first half. In fact, the hosts look by far the more likely to score the game’s next goal. This match should end up as a fairly comfortable win for United.
