Manchester City have been in fine form at the Reebok, happily dominating their hosts with a superb display of considered passing and lethal breaks. However, although they've scored twice, they might wish to work on their finishing - lackadaisical play in the penalty area may well see them drop points here, despite taking a 2-1 lead into halftime.
Bolton Wanderers Vs. Manchester City: 2-1 City At Halftime
Only one of City's goals, a scorcher from Gareth Barry that made the game 2-0 could be ascribed to anything like a good shot. David Silva's opener was almost entirely the fault of Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainan, who turned a routine save on a ball hit right at him into a goal, and Sergio Aguero has missed what must now be described as a bevy of easy chances and had a goal (correctly) disallowed.
City may well regret not putting Bolton away while they could. For despite being outplayed, the hosts pulled one back immediately after Barry's superb strike, with Nigel Reo-Coker's raking ball to the left flank immediately being pinged back into the box for Ivan Klasnic to volley home through a helpless Joe Hart's legs. They probably don't deserve that goal, Bolton (they certainly don't deserve to be trailing by just one), but if City are going to keep missing chances, the Trotters will happily do their utmost to make them pay.
