This is why Samir Nasri wants to leave Arsenal, one suspects. The Frenchman, deployed as a central midfielder with Cesc Fabregas gone to Barcelona, picks up the ball in the middle of the pitch and charges forward, carving a hole straight through the Liverpool defence in the process. Robin van Persie's run is taken out by a pair of black shirts and Theo Walcott's run is taken out by him being an idiot and not really making one, so Nasri's only option is to shoot from the edge of the penalty area. It doesn't really go very well - disappointing after such good play.
Arsenal Vs. Liverpool: Samir Nasri Creates, Wastes Chance
Emmanuel Frimpong that's-probably-a-booking-count: Four (including his actual yellow card).
Arsenal are looking a little more lively than they were earlier on, which is sort of like saying that it's a cool day in Death Valley. Stewart Downing attempts to rectify that situation with a thumping left-footed effort after beating Carl Jenkinson on the left, but his shot sails well wide of Wojciech Szczesny's goal and it's still 0-0.
