Sunderland Vs. Newcastle United: Ryan Taylor Goal Puts Visitors Up In Tyne-Wear Derby

The second half started slow in the Tyne-Wear Derby, but thanks to Ryan Taylor the match is sure to pick up for the final half hour. Newcastle United now lead Sunderland at the Stadium Of Light, thanks to a fantastic free kick by Ryan Taylor.

Most scoreboards are showing Steven Taylor as the scorer, but it appears on the replay that the central defender never got a touch. In the 63rd minute, Ryan Taylor delivered a fantastic free kick into the box, curling towards the far post from the left side of the penalty area. Steven Taylor was unmarked and had a free header, but the ball appeared to allude him and go directly into the back of the net from the free kick. Steven was initially credited with the goal, but Ryan will almost certainly be credited with it after the match.
