Right. It's 0-0 at halftime in Old Trafford, where Manchester United are entertaining Tottenham Hotspur. I'd like to pretend it's been one of those good 0-0s that are bursting with chances and fun, but it isn't. About all that's happened in this half as been a Tom Cleverly shot saved by Brad Friedel and Nani trying to pick out a fight with Younes Kaboul. You can tell that said fight never occured, because otherwise the headline for this post would have been Nani Slain By Meaty Punch, or something.
Manchester United Vs. Tottenham Hotspur: All Square After Dull 1st Half
Anyway, general impressions: Neither midfield is very good (it's Cleverly and Anderson vs. Niko Krancjar and something called Jake Livermore in the centre), Danny Welbeck is emphatically not Javier Hernandez, and Manchester United's defence is quite strong even despite its youth. Oh, and David de Gea's having a good game as well, dealing comfortably with Spurs' attempts from long range. And... that's about it. More in the second half, one hopes.
