Andre Johnson’s Finger Injury Won’t Keep Him From Texans Training Camp Very Long

Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson was "carted off the field" earlier this week with a dislocated finger. (As we previously explained, news reports said he was carted off the field but he walked off and was then carted from the field to the team facility).

The good news is that the injury isn’t a big deal -- just a dislocated finger -- and head coach Gary Kubiak, who says he’ll wait for doctors to clear him for his return, didn’t sound worried.

Johnson downplayed the injury while speaking to the media on Tuesday.

“As soon as I felt it pop, I felt it out of place and I popped it right back in,” Johnson said. “I really wasn’t in a lot of pain, or anything like that. It was just more concern about the bleeding and stuff.”

So Johnson will be back which is good news for the Texans and fantasy football fans, and bad news for the AFC South. A dislocated finger can be bothersome, especially for a receiver, but it’s nothing to be concerned about six weeks before the season starts.
