Warning: reading how Andre Johnson describes his finger injury in Houston Texans training camp practice could make you queasy.
Andre Johnson’s Finger Injury Is A Little Gross
Johnson went down on Tuesday with a dislocated finger. He was sent to the hospital and returned with the diagnosis being a few days to heal. While the timetable on his return is still about right, the injury is a little more than you’d think. Here what Johnson told USA Today about his finger:
“I had a glove on and when I made a fist, my index finger didn’t feel right. When I looked at it, it was kind of ugly, so I popped it back into place,” he said. “I was fine, wasn’t in any pain or anything. But the sweat from my glove got in the cut where the bone broke the skin. It started burning. When I took my glove off, that’s when the blood started running out.”
Eww. That’s tough to read.
The good news is that, even though the injury sounds gross, it’s not expected to be a long-term issue. That’s good news for Texans fans and fantasy football fans.
