NFL Free Agency Rumors: Ravens Pitch Offer To Malcom Floyd

The Baltimore Ravens reportedly made an offer to Malcom Floyd on Monday night, topping the $3 million per year he had been making with the Chargers. According to the report by the San Diego Union-Tribune, Baltimore looks to be the current leader for the 6-foot-5 receiver.

Floyd would give Baltimore yet another big target to supplement Anquan Boldin and Ed Dickson in the red zone, as well as a reliable deep threat. Floyd was the biggest beneficiary of Vincent Jackson's contract holdout early last season, before injuries sidetracked what looked to be a monster season. Through the first five weeks of 2010 season, Floyd hauled in 22 passes for 498 yards and three touchdowns. He added just 17 catches for 219 yards and three touchdowns throughout the rest of the season.

Floyd's departure was offset in San Diego with the signing of Laurent Robinson from St. Louis. The full-time return of Vincent Jackson means Philip Rivers will once again have plenty of targets to throw to in 2011.
