The Baltimore Ravens remain the favorite to sign free agent wide receiver Malcom Floyd, according to reports from the Baltimore Sun's Jamison Hensley. Wednesday reports indicated that the Ravens offered Floyd a deal topping the $3 million per year salary he made with the San Diego Chargers in 2010-2011. According to Hensley, terms could be reached between the two sides by Friday.
NFL Free Agency Rumors: Malcom Floyd’s Ravens Signing Could Come Friday
Thus far Floyd has played the entirety of his seven year NFL career with the San Diego Chargers, stretching the field with his blistering speed while pulling in career high numbers over the last two years. Since 2009, the 29-year-old has compiled 82 receptions for 1493 yards and seven touchdowns.
Should Floyd sign with Baltimore, he would join a receiving corps headlined by three-time Pro Bowler Anquan Boldin and a smattering of journeymen and rookies. With the official formation of the new CBA, the 6-foot-5 receiver would be immediately available to join team practice.
