According to Fernando Palomo, reporting during the Barcelona-Chivas friendly on ESPN2 and Spanish publication Sport.es, Arsene Wenger has given the potential green light to a transfer of star midfielder Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal to Barcelona. Both Palomo's report and the article published by Sport.es state that Fabregas will be sold to Barcelona if Arsenal receive an acceptable fee and negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.
Cesc Fabregas Transfer From Arsenal To Barcelona Gets Okay From Arsene Wenger, According To Reports
Fabregas, a Barcelona youth product, has been linked to a move back to the Catalan club since last season. Wenger has been unwavering in his statements that Fabregas would not be leaving Arsenal unless the club received a Godfather offer. Either Wenger has had a change of heart or - more likely - Barcelona has called up Arsenal citing figures that come close to constituting a Godfather offer.
Many have wondered whether or not Fabregas would even be a regular starter at Barcelona, who have both Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta on the books. Regular starter or not, he’s probably going to cost the Blaugranas a large sum of money.
