By now, you’ve probably seen the video of Steve Williams talking about how happy and awesome he is. Though being a caddy on the PGA Tour is about a lot more than just carrying a bag, it’s not unreasonable or demeaning to caddies to say that Adam Scott and his talents had a heck of a lot more to do with winning the 2011 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational than Williams and his talents did. Still, Williams decided to talk about the biggest win of his career a lot more than Scott when he was interviewed on television after the tournament, and some of Scott’s fellow athletes aren’t taking it well.

For instance LPGA player Christina Kim does not think very highly of Williams.
“Greatest week of my life. Good job congratulating Adam, who hit the shots, you knob.”
English golfer Oliver Wilson had some thoughts of his own.
“Cannot believe they have interviewed Steve Williams. Nice of him to take away from Scotty’s win. Says it all...”
And while we’re here, what do you think, Andy Roddick?
”Am I missing something? Was Steve the one actually playing?
“The guy was just happy for his new employer! So happy for him that he almost mentioned his name.”
In case no one remembers: Adam Scott won a relatively prestigious golf tournament against a world class field in incredibly impressive fashion. Steve Williams did some things to help him.
