Final Four 2012, Ohio State Vs. Kansas Halftime Score: Buckeyes Lead, 34-25

It has been a downright ugly first half for the Kansas Jayhawks. They're having a little bit of trouble finding clean looks for Thomas Robinson and he's not getting a lot of help from his teammates. It hasn't just been poor offense -- the Ohio State Buckeyes deserve a lot of credit for their defense -- but Kansas doesn't have a whole lot of ideas when Robinson isn't making offense by himself. On the other end, Ohio State is shooting the ball well, and they lead 34-25 at the half.

The Jayhawks did get a boost going to the locker room, though. Aaron Craft drove into the lane in the dying seconds for Kansas and had his shot blocked by Jeff Withey. KU got out on the break and Travis Releford made a layup at the buzzer to cut the lead to single digits.

Kansas shot just 38 percent from the floor in the first half and didn’t find their way to the free throw line until there were 24 seconds remaining in the half. That’s indicative of a team that isn’t just struggling to shoot the ball, but struggling to create offense. If Robinson isn’t dominating, Kansas needs to get out on the break to score, and they haven’t done any of that. Ohio State is rebounding and controlling the tempo well, and the slow pace has been bad for Kansas.

Jared Sullinger is having a solid game with seven points and five rebounds. The Buckeyes haven't relied on him or any player in particular, as they're doing an excellent job of spreading the ball around and looking for whoever is open. William Buford leads the Buckeyes with eight points on 3-3 shooting. Kansas' Robinson is the game's joint-leading scorer with eight points of his own.
