Miami (OH) Pro Day Kicks Off With Brandon Brooks’ Workout

Brandon Brooks impressive during his Miami (OH) Pro Day workout.

Miami of Ohio offensive lineman Brandon Brooks may not have been invited to the NFL Combine, but he's still finding ways to impress scouts. During Miami's Pro Day on Thursday, the 6'5, 343-pounder stood out during his 10-minute work out during position drills (via SI.com). Among the highlights of his day were knocking over a coach from the Pittsburgh Steelers during bag drills when he made an especially hard hand punch.

Brooks, who is already expected to be the first player picked who didn’t get invited to the Combine, has another chance to impress scouts next Thursday. On that day, he’ll do more offensive line drills.

Brooks was a four-year starter at Miami, which had the 14th best passing offense in 2011, but went just 4-8 and was ranked 120th in rushing offense. A year earlier, the Redhawks went 10-4 and were much more balanced on offense.
