NFL Draft Rumors: Rams Don’t Plan To Trade 33rd Pick, According To Report

The St. Louis Rams hold three picks in the 2nd round of the 2012 NFL Draft, including No. 33, the first pick of the 2nd round. So the Rams have been on the clock since the end of Round 1 on Thursday night. According to ESPN, the Rams do not plan to trade the 33rd pick, despite some interest in the pick.

That means the Rams probably know the player they’re going to take. They’ve been connected to some receivers, so that’s a possibility. Brian Quick, Rueben Randle, Stephen Hill or Alshon Jeffery could be in play if the Rams choose to go receiver.

The best player available, according to Mocking The Draft, is Alabama LB Courtney Upshaw. The complete list of best available players shows plenty of options for the Rams.

The Rams also have the 39th and 45th overall picks so they’re a bit of a wild card here. They can go in several different directions with this pick.
