As more and more draft picks sign their rookie contracts, the Buffalo Bills have inked first-round draft pick Stephon Gilmore to a four-year contract. Gilmore's deal is believed to be worth around $12.1 million with a fifth-year option that will be worth the 2015 transition tag for cornerbacks, according to a report by Albert Breer of NFL Network.
Bills Sign 1st Round Draft Pick Stephen Gilmore
The Bills used the 10th overall pick to select the South Carolina cornerback, who already made a big impression on coaches in the team’s rookie mini-camp a few weeks ago. Gilmore was viewed as a playmaking cornerback who seemed to rise as we got closer to the NFL Draft, leading many draft experts to note he could be a surprise Top 10 pick.
With Gilmore under contract, the Bills can now focus on getting the rest of their draft class under contract.
