The Seahawks didn't waste any time signing the majority of their draft class as they came to terms with eight of the their 10 draft picks Monday.
Seahawks Sign 8 Of 10 Draft Picks
The most notable of the Monday signees was first-round pick Bruce Irvin, who became the first player chosen in the first round to sign. The Seahawks selected Irvin, a defensive end from West Virginia, 15th overall in last month's NFL draft. There was a time when first-round picks wouldn't sign until July or August, but the recently modified CBA simplified the process.
In addition to Irvin, Seattle also signed second-round pick Bobby Wagner, third-round pick Russell Wilson, fifth-round pick Korey Toomer, sixth-round picks Jeremy Lane and Winston Guy and seventh-round picks JR Sweezy and Greg Scruggs.
Of the 10-player draft class, only fourth-round picks Robert Turbin and Jaye Howard remain unsigned.
