The New York Giants are your 2012 Super Bowl champions and the city of New York will celebrate the victory with a Super Bowl parade at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Giants Parade 2012: Super Bowl Champs Continue Celebration At MetLife Stadium
Approximately one million fans were expected to attend -- and about a third of those from outside New York City. The city was expected to use 40 tons of confetti which is a lot but significantly less than the record when 5,438 tons of ticker tape when veterans returned home from World War II.
From the parade, the Giants will return to MetLife Stadium for a 3:00 p.m. rally.

Also, fans are apparently trying to get the best view possible which includes but is not limited to climbing street signs.

Next to Manning was Giants head coach Tom Coughlin who lifted up the Lombardi Trophy to chants of “G-MEN” from the crowd lining the streets of the city. The lead float also had Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Bloomberg and John Mara hiding in the back of the float.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg issued a statement after the Giants win announcing the parade details. It will begin at Battery Place and Washington Street at 11:00 a.m. and move north up the Canyon of Heroes to Worth Street.
After the parade, there will be a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, where the Giants will receive the key to the city from Bloomberg.

New York is the biggest city in the country so if you were expecting a massive crowd at the parade, you’d be right. Estimates for the Giants 2008 Super Bowl parade were around a million people and that came in rainy conditions.
With the weather set for 52 degrees and sunny on Tuesday, we could see more than one million people in the streets of New York for the parade.

The section of lower Broadway located in the Financial District, the Canyon of Heroes got its name because it’s become the customary location for the city to throw ticker-tape parades honoring everything from the end of World War II to the New York Yankee’s latest World Series celebration in 2009.
There are more than 200 granite black strips embedded in the street’s sidewalks, one for each of the celebrations that have occurred there.
