Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has earned a reputation in the NFL of having a mean streak, but accusations extended beyond football Thursday as Suh was accused of sideswiping a car and engaging in a verbal altercation with a driver. The alleged incident took place Thursday morning in Allen Park, Mich.

The report filed by Fox News 2 in Detroit say that the star defensive tackle’s black Range Rover struck a Ford Escort at approximately 6:20 a.m. The driver allegedly engaged in a discussion with Suh, who suggested to the driver that he “leave now” before departing the scene and driving to the Lions’ practice facility.

If true, this isn’t the first time Suh has had an accident behind the wheel. In late 2011, Suh and two passengers crashed a 1970 Chevy Chevelle in Portland, Ore., in an event characterized as the defensive tackle simply losing control of his vehicle on a wet street.

At the time of today’s reported altercation, the driver who was stuck wasn’t aware the man behind the wheel was the Lions superstar:

“I don’t know who this guy is at first and tell you the truth, I still didn’t realize it was Ndamukong Suh until I was told that’s who it was.”

Deerborn police are investigating the incident, and neither Suh nor the Lions have released any statements surrounding the alleged events.
