Red Wolves run all over ULL, 50-27
Arkansas State defeated UL Lafayette in a critical Sun Belt Conference head-to-head matchup Tuesday, 50-27. The Red Wolves were on the road with both teams carrying a 2-1 league record. The winner would control their own destiny against UL Monroe, the only Sun Belt team without a conference loss.
The Red Wolves and the Warhawks will face each other on Nov. 8.

The winner of this one will have three Sun Belt wins and move within a single victory of bowl eligibility, thereby narrowing down one of the most interesting conference title races in the country. Each has yet to play front-runner UL Monroe, which famously knocked off Arkansas and nearly Baylor and Auburn as well.
Last year, ASU raced out to a 17-0 lead on ULL before the Cajuns took the lead in the third quarter. The Red Wolves eventually won, but I’m just sayin’, she ain’t over yet. ULL averages 35.5 points per game, and all.
