Seahawks vs. Bills final score: Russell Wilson leads Seattle in 50-17 win

The Seahawks demolished the Bills on Sunday on the strength of a huge day from rookie quarterback Russell Wilson.

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Buffalo Bills, 50-17, on Sunday at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.

Despite trailing only 14 to 7 after the first quarter, the Bills didn’t seem to be in the game and they weren’t. The Seahawks exploded for 17 second-quarter points to build a 31-7 lead before Buffalo could find the end zone again. The Seahawks scored 19 more points in the second half while shutting out the Bills to complete the rout.

Fantasy studs and duds: Seattle starting quarterback Russell Wilson became the first quarterback to rush for three touchdowns in a half (and the first in the first half of a game) since Daunte Culpepper rushed for three touchdowns against the Bears in the second half in Week 1 of the 2000 season. Wilson finished with 92 rush yards and three touchdowns on nine carries to go with 205 yards passing and a touchdown on 14-of-23 passing. Marshawn Lynch rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown for the Seahawks. C.J. Spiller had 103 yards rushing and a touchdown on 17 carries for Buffalo. Stevie Johnson had 115 yards and a touchdown on eight receptions for the Bills.

Odds: The Seahawks opened as three-point favorites and had little trouble covering the spread. The over was set at 42.5 when opening lines came out, which Seattle was able to cover by itself.

Injury info: There were no significant injuries for either team. Seahawks kicker Steven Hauschka was seen grabbing his calf after kicking off following Seattle's final field goal.

Next up: The Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers next week while the Bills travel to south Florida to play the Miami Dolphins.
