Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has released a short statement expressing sorrow over the death of linebacker Jerry Brown.

Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are “deeply saddened” over the death of linebacker Jerry Brown.
“We are deeply saddened by the news of this accident and the passing of Jerry Brown. At this time, our hearts and prayers and deepest sympathies are with the members of Jerry’s family and all of those who knew him and loved him.”
Brown was killed in a car accident early Saturday morning in Irving, Tx. Teammate and Cowboys' starting nose tackle Josh Brent was arrested in connection with the death and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
