The Kentucky Wildcats improved to 28-1 on Saturday with an 83-74 win over Vanderbilt. But Kevin Stallings's club put together a game challenge for the Cats, who trailed by one at the half before going on a run midway through the second half to re-take control with a double digit lead. The 'Dores would cut it to three with a little over three minutes remaining but that's as close as Vandy would get to pulling off the upset.

Anthony Davis continued his campaign for National Player of the Year honors with a monster 28 point, 11 rebound, six block performance. Davis was matched up against the impressive Festus Ezeli, but the Vandy big man was no match for the freshman phenom. While Davis has been heralded for his defense and shot-blocking all season, on Saturday he missed only one shot from the floor in a dominant offensive performance. Marquis Teague and Terrence Jones chipped in with double digit games, but with the Wildcats going just two of ten from behind the arc, this game was all about Davis on the interior.

The Wildcats now head to Georgia on Thursday night looking to stay undefeated in the SEC against one of the conference’s worst teams.
