Caveat Venditor

MLB umpire Ed Hickox is suing Wilson Sporting Goods for a lot of money. Because his protective mask didn’t protect him well enough. For the second time.

↵The first time, Wilson wound up paying Hickox $775,000. When they handed him the check, why didn’t Wilson make him agree to switch to their competitor’s equipment?

↵I’m kidding, sort of. This is actually an interesting case, and worth more than this snarky little post because if Hickox wins again, there could be a lot more lawsuits. Especially if umpires are chronically concussed.
