The initial word on Morrow’s hurt oblique was that he was day-to-day, but of course oblique injuries are never day-to-day, as they require some weeks of recovery.

And with that, Morrow was finished. He gingerly left the mound and retired to the clubhouse, favoring his left side. Nobody can really know much of anything until Morrow’s had an MRI, but the early (and obvious) speculation is that Morrow suffered an oblique injury, which almost always leads to a stint on the Disabled List.
