Chad Johnson Released From Jail, Issued No-Contact Order With Wife

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson was arrested Saturday evening for allegedly head-butting his wife, Evelyn Lozada, following a heated argument regarding a condom receipt. Johnson was released from jail on Sunday morning after he posted bond just after 1 p.m. ET..

The details of the arrest are still a bit murky, but via Dave Hyde of the Miami Sun-Sentinel, the police report states that Johnson screamed that he didn’t care about his career as Lozada fled the scene.

According to the police report, Johnson screamed at his wife, “I don’t give a f---! I don’t give a f---about my career!” after head-butting her over a receipt about condoms. Lozada then “fled on foot to a neighbor’s house” to escape from Johnson, the report said. She called the police from a neighbor’s home, the report said. Johnson drove around the neighborhood looking for her, the report says.

Johnson is expected to report to the Dolphins’ training facility on Sunday to explain his side of the story to the team.
