Jason Witten’s Spleen Injury To Keep Him Out Rest Of Preseason, According To Report
Jason Witten will miss the rest of the preseason with a spleen injury, according to a report.
It might or might not require surgery and Witten hasn't been ruled out for the Cowboys' Week 1 game against the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants, an early pivotal game for which Dallas would surely love to be at full strength.
The PFT report cited Dan Patrick's radio show from Wednesday morning, during which Patrick speculated a spleen injury was the result of a hit Witten took from Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain during the Cowboys' 3-0 win Monday night. The Cowboys' next preseason game is Saturday against the San Diego Chargers.
