We’ve made it to the Sweet 16, everyone. We’ve tossed half the GIFs in this tournament to the wayside, and between now and Sunday night, we’ll toss out eight more.
GIF Tournament II: The Sweet 16
Friday, the winners from Round 1 of GIF Tournament II advance to compete in the Sweet 16. This is where hearts are broken. Time to cast our votes and determine the summer’s greatest GIF.
This, though, is where the heartbreak begins. Nearly each of the remaining GIFs is near and dear to us, and saying goodbye is never easy. Just remember that at the end, the very greatest among these GIFs will win fame and immortality.
Because skating by on shit other people wrote is the wave of the future I’m interested in what you think of these GIFs, for this round, I’ll be featuring comments y’all have posted over the last couple days. Many an astute argument and observation has been made, and frankly, I’ve been able to appreciate some of these GIFs in a different way as a result.
Voting will remain open until Sunday, August 19th at 11 p.m., and on Monday, we’ll start the Elite Eight round. I’ll be updating this page throughout the day with links that will let you view and vote on the GIFs in question. Or, if you’d prefer, I’ll be tweeting out the links at @jon_bois as they go live.
