The Minnesota Vikings and the Houston Texans face off Thursday at Reliant Stadium for what will be the final exhibition tuneup for both teams.
Vikings Vs. Texans: Game Time, TV Schedule, Odds And More
What to know for Thursday’s final exhibition game between the Vikings and Texans.
The Vikings' offense has been quite up and down this preseason, with Christian Ponder sacked four times in their 12-10 loss to the San Diego Chargers. Running back Adrian Peterson's return should provide a huge boost, but it's doubtful they'll risk him in a meaningless game like this.
On the other end of the spectrum, quarterback Matt Schaub looked to be in mid-season form in the Texans' 34-27 loss at New Orleans. The oft-injured signal caller completed 15-of-18 passes for 194 yards and a touchdown while showing no side effects from the foot injury that ended his 2011 season prematurely.
With all that in mind, don’t expect to see too much of the starters with coaches usually electing to rest their stars in the last game before the regular season.
Start Time: Kickoff from Houston scheduled for 7 p.m. EST
