Fulham Rejects Liverpool Bid For Clint Dempsey

The Clint Dempsey transfer deadline day saga rolls on with this latest tidbit from Sky Sports News. Fulham have rejected Liverpool's big for the American midfielder. This is seriously turning in to the soccer version of "The Wheel of Time" today.

Apparently, Fulham are not eager to sell or they are just trying to make Dempsey's life difficult over the final hours of the transfer window being open. Whatever the reason, Dempsey's future remains up in the air though there have been rumors that Tottenham are potentially interested along with another mystery third club (Arsenal?).

With less than four hours to go, we’ll have to wait and see what happens but there’s no doubt that American soccer fans are hanging on every update. Their concern is understandable with Dempsey having not seen first team action yet this season and World Cup qualifiers looming for the US Men’s National Team.
