NFL Injury Report: Defenders Go Down Around AFC North

The teams of the AFC North suffered more casualties on Sunday.

With Week 2 of the NFL regular season now complete, the teams of the AFC North have some additional injury concerns.
Browns defensive back Eric Hagg left during the first half of Sunday’s game against Cincinnati with an eye injury, though he was later able to return. Defensive tackle Billy Winn suffered a head injury in the first half and was held out for the rest of the game. Tight end Alex Smith also suffered a head injury that forced him to leave the game for good.
Ravens defensive back Bernard Pollard was having a good afternoon against the Eagles before a rib contusion sidelined him. Pollard, who collected a sack and and interception during the game, was not able to return to action after suffering the injury. Defensive end Courtney Upshaw also left the game with an injury.
The Bengals lost defensive end Jamaal Anderson to a torn quad on Sunday. This injury is expected to end Anderson’s season.
The Steelers were without both safety Troy Polamalu and linebacker James Harrison on Sunday, but Pittsburgh still had no trouble defeating the New York Jets.
