NFL Injury Report: NFC South Remains Healthy After Week 2

The NFC South isn't exactly devastated by injuries, but a few players are a bit banged up. Atlanta Falcons cornerbacks Chris Owens and Asante Samuel had to leave Monday night's game against the Denver Broncos. Owens left with a rib injury and is listed as questionable for next week, while Samuel was seen laying on the turf with an undisclosed injury.

Aside from the cornerbacks, Falcons were concerned about wide receiver Roddy White suffering with a groin injury, but he managed to pull down eight catches for 102 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos. Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon (hamstring) was limited in practice last week, but he was also active against Denver with five tackles and a fumble recovery.

For the Carolina Panthers, wide receiver Steve Smith's knee injury is not considered to be serious, but reports indicate there is still some soreness there, despite his three-catch, 104-yard performance in Sunday's win against the New Orleans Saints. Running back Jonathan Stewart had been dealing with an ankle injury, but had 11 carries for 51 yards, one catch for 17 yards and a touchdown against the Saints.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers only have running back LeGarrette Blount and wide receiver Arrelious Benn (knee) listed on their injury report. Both players were active on Sunday against the Giants, but neither played normal snaps.

The New Orleans Saints can't afford to lose much more, but wide receiver Devery Henderson (concussion) was upgraded from inactive to questionable on Monday along with cornerback Johnny Patrick (thigh).
