The Michigan Wolverines and Notre Dame Fighting Irish will meet for a primetime showdown on Saturday night. Last year's meeting led to a wild 35-31 victory for Michigan, and this year's game promises to be no different with plenty of talent on both sides of the ball.

The Michigan Wolverines and Notre Dame Fighting Irish clash this weekend in a non-conference showdown. Quarterbacks Denard Robinson and Everett Golson will look to have big games in front of a national audience.


The Wolverines are led by do-it-all quarterback Denard Robinson. Robinson has thrown for 699 yards and six touchdowns this season, although he has thrown four interceptions and is completing just 54.7 percent of his passes. He has also rushed for 351 yards and four touchdowns on 40 carries. His favorite target is junior wide receiver Devin Gardner, who leads the team with 155 receptions and three touchdowns.
The Irish have had a bit of quarterback controversy this fall, but Everett Golson has stepped up nicely. He has thrown for 611 yards and three touchdowns, completing 58 percent of his passes with just one interception. Notre Dame will also rely heavily on tailbacks Theo Riddick and George Atkinson III to balance their offensive attack on the ground.

Point spread: Notre Dame opened as six-point favorites for Saturday night.
