As per usual, the best viewing during the international break can be found in South America. Four World Cup entries and one playoff spot go to CONMEBOL, even though it’s made up of just 10 nations, and all of them continue to be very good at football.
CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying: Uruguay, Argentina Will Be Tested
Argentina and Ecuador will expect wins on Friday, while Uruguay faces a tough road test in Colombia.
Uruguay and Argentina have both been very good so far in qualifying, and both face tough tests on Friday. Uruguay go away to Colombia, who have arguably their most talented team since the mid-90s, while Argentina host a Paraguay team that's tough to break down. A draw will be a decent result for Uruguay, but Argentina should grab all three at home.
Ecuador host Bolivia, and three points in that match is essential for their qualifying chances. Venezuela goes away to a struggling Peru side in the final game of the round, and both sides will see that match as a virtual must-win.
