Mississippi State is expecting to welcome a nice group of official visitors this weekend as it tries to wrap up its 2013 recruiting class.
Mississippi State hosting top recruit MacKensie Alexander
The Mississippi State Bulldogs will host one of the nation’s best cornerbacks, MacKensie Alexander, this weekend.


The biggest name on campus this weekend will be MacKensie Alexander, a five-star cornerback from Immokalee (Fla.) High School. Alexander is listed as the No. 2 cornerback in the Class of 2013 by ESPN, 247Sports says he is the No. 4 CB and Rivals ranks him at No. 7 for his position.
In addition to Alexander, the Bulldogs are hosting a few four-star-or-better committed prospects, including Chris Jones, a five-star defensive end from Houston (Miss.) High School, Ashton Shumpert, a four-star safety from Tupelo (Miss.) High School, Jake Thomas, a four-star offensive tackle from Columbus (Miss.) High School, and Cord Sandberg, a four-star dual-threat quarterback from Bradenton, Fla., Manatee High School.
State will also host Gabe Myles, a three-star cornerback from Starkville (Miss.) High School, Kent Flowers, a three-star offensive tackle from Hollandale, Miss., Simmons High School, Deon Mix, a three-star offensive guard from Batesville, Miss., South Panola High School, Brandon Wells, a three-star athlete from Bogue Chitto (Miss.) School, Jamaal Clayborn, a three-star offensive guard from Flowood, Miss., Jackson Academy, and Tyre’oune Holmes, a three-star athlete from Tylertown (Miss.) High School.
