USA TODAY SportsJack Taylor of Division III Grinnell College scored 109 points against Crossroads in a 173-123 win on Sunday afternoon. After scoring 71 points in the season opener, Taylor’s now averaging 90 points a game.
Despite his incredible shooting performance on Sunday, 109 points isn’t even his career high. Taylor dropped 138 points in a game last November, setting the all-time D-III individual scoring record.

Ejim came off the bench and led the Cyclones with 22 points, nine rebounds and three steals, and he got help from four Iowa State starters who reached double figures.
But the favorite Wolverines played ahead and with the Cyclones for much of the game.

Belmont won the game from behind the three-point line, going 15-of-37 from deep while UNC attempted only seven three-pointers in the entire game. The Tar Heels were able to attack the rim at will, but they could not convert from the charity stripe, making only 46 percent of their free throws. Tokoto was the primary offender, going 4-of-16 from the line.

Daniels led the Huskies’ offense early, scoring eight points as UConn took off to a 10-0 lead.
