UCLA vs. USC 2013 final score: Bruins score rushing TDs with two defensive players in win

Brett Hundley’s 208 yards passing and two touchdowns rushing led UCLA to a victory over cross-city rival USC.

Everyone knows UCLA true freshman linebacker Myles Jack does double duty as a running back. But Jim Mora decided to give another defensive player some touchdown love, as he gave the ball to freshman Eddie Vanderdoes on a one-yard touchdown plunge in UCLA's 35-14 victory over USC.

UCLA opened the scoring with rushing touchdowns by two defensive players, Jack and Vanderdoes, in taking a 14-0 lead three minutes in to the second quarter. USC didn’t give up, scoring on an 11-yard scamper to bring the game within one score before the half closed.

The Bruins scored first in the second half as well, as Brett Hundley scored the first of his two rushing touchdowns on the first UCLA drive of the half. The Trojans refused to go down without a fight, as Cody Kessler and the Trojans drove down the field on their next possession.

The Bruins were really just too much for the Trojans, as an Anthony Barr strip-sack of Kessler with a shade under six minutes left sealed the game.

Marqise Lee aggravated a knee injury and the USC training staff put a brace on his knee in the second half. Late in the fourth quarter he decided he didn’t want to wear the brace anymore, and was visibly hobbled on the field.

Box Score Hero: Brett Hundley was 18-of-27 for 208 yards passing, and had 13 carries for 80 yards and two touchdowns rushing.

Rankings Ramifications: USC will most likely drop out of the BCS rankings, while UCLA will probably take a leap into the top 20.

But Did They Cover? USC came into the game as 3.5-point favorites, so no, they did not cover.
