Houston Texans running back Ben Tate was called upon to sub in for Arian Foster again on Sunday, and he had a solid game. Tate carried the ball 22 times for 81 yards, with Dennis Johnson adding 36 yards and quarterback Case Keenum adding 26 yards on the ground as well.
Ben Tate plays well for fantasy owners in relief of Arian Foster
Houston Texans running back Ben Tate played well on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Foster actually played in that game against the Indianapolis Colts, but he didn't have a carry, and only lasted one series before exiting the game with a back injury. Tate was also injured heading into this game, dealing with broken ribs.
Foster has yet to miss playing in a game this season, but given that he only lasted one series, he could be on watch to miss the team’s Week 10 matchup. That said the Texans will be in good hands with Tate carrying the ball.
Fantasy Impact: We’ve said all along that Tate is the best fantasy football handcuff, and he’s shown it time and time again. Having both Foster and Tate is the most desirable option, even if Foster doesn’t miss a lot of games he misses a lot of snaps. Tate didn’t have the best game, but it was solid. He should be held onto going forward, obviously.
