Ronda Rousey defeated Liz Carmouche via armbar at UFC 157, but she didn’t completely mow down her competition in quick fashion like a lot of experts expected. In the post-fight press conference, Carmouche talked about the neck crank submission she tried on Rousey and how it was in so tight it left bite marks on her arm.

“I beared down where I have teeth marks actually from her mouth where I thought ‘Maybe I can get her to tap by just knocking some teeth out’,” Carmouche told reporters while laughing. “It didn’t quite work out.”
With the victory, Rousey becomes the first woman to win a match in the UFC and is now the women’s champion.
“These two girls went out tonight and showed everybody what it’s all about and what they do and what they have,” UFC president Dana White said in the post-fight press conference. “They both looked like professionals.”
