2013 MLB Draft results: Pick Nos. 60-64

The trend of predominantly prep players continued, with only Dillon Overton being of the college variety.

No. 60: Riley Unroe, Tampa Bay Rays

The prep player has seen his stock rise this season; Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports that more scouts believe that Unroe can stick at shortstop. If Unroe is unable to stay at shortstop, he is considered a strong enough defender to handle second base or center field.

No. 61: Chance Sisco, Baltimore Orioles

Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com says this about Sisco:

He has an average arm and has good hands. As Sisco, out of Temescal Canyon H.S. (Calif.), becomes more comfortable as a catcher, he should develop into a solid all-around defender. Offensively, he has an advanced hitting approach and makes a lot of good contact with his quick swing.

No. 62: Akeem Bostick, Texas Rangers

Baseball America:

"His fastball sits at 90-92 mph and has been up to 94 this spring... there is room to add strength, but he has a thin frame so it may be limited."

No. 63: Dillon Overton, Oakland Athletics

Overton ranked #61 by Mayo: “average stuff but with some knowledge of pitching.” Baseball America: “Overton has topped out at 95 mph and shown three-plus pitches at times... [after straining his forearm] Overton’s fastball had dipped to 87-90 mph and his slider had lost some power and morphed into more of a curveball.”

No. 64: Ryder Jones, San Francisco Giants

Baseball America:

"He lacks bat speed, which brings up questions about his overall hitting ability" and though he played shortstop in high school, will move to third as a pro.
