The Belmont Stakes is set for Saturday afternoon as the last leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown features the winners of the first two legs, Orb and Oxbow, among the favorites.

Post time, according to the race's official website, is set for 6:36 p.m. ET. A $1 million purse is on the line, with $600,000 going to the winner.
Orb, the winner of the Kentucky Derby, is the favorite at Belmont Park in Elmont, N.Y. with 11/4 odds as of Friday morning. Oxbow, after winning at the Preakness Stakes, has 6/1 odds. Between them, Revolutionary is a 5/1 favorite. Other contenders include Freedom Child at 17/2 and Unlimited Budget at 10/1 odds.
Rain in the area on Friday and Saturday means the 1½-mile track could be sloppy come race time. In any event, television coverage begins on NBC at 5 p.m. ET, running through until 7 p.m. The NBC Sports Network will televise coverage before that, from 3-5 p.m. and after, from 7-7:30 p.m.
